Hello people! Sorry we haven’t had much activities on this here blog lately. So here’s an update on what’s been going on here at BOS: For the first 3 weeks of August, we were down in the Florida pan-handle area. It was HOT, HOT, HOT!!!! We had a chance to spend time with the people of Bonifay, and I got to tell ya, the food is excellent!!!! I was pretty sure I could see my stomach expand on a daily basis. We so much appreciate all the families that took the time and effort into making every meal and inviting us to your homes. We LOVE ya’ll very much!!! From the 6th-14th, our tour started in Panama City, Blountstown, Havana, Laguna Beach, Greencove Springs, and ended in Port St. Joe. We had the group Consumed travel with us on most of the dates, and we had another group, New Breed, opened for us in Panama City. Throughout the whole week we saw more than 50 people come up to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! What an awesome experience!! During our stay in FL, we had a chance to spend a day at the pastor’s lake house. The Chandler family invited all of us out to relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Seminole in Georgia. We didn’t dare swim at this lake, because just about anywhere you look, there’s alligators! YIKES!! Thanks again to all the people and families who took us in as a part of your family. We are ever grateful for your support! WE LOVE YA’LL!!

Okay, so after a nice warm few weeks, we headed up north for a 26 hrs drive to Canada. Well, it was suppose to be 26 hrs, but as usual, crossing the border is not as easy as it use to be. After the almost 3 hour ordeal at the border, we made it to CANADA! It was cold and very windy; unlike Florida. We played at one of the only Christian weekend festival in Canada, called Freedomfest. Even with the weather being cold and wet, we had a great time up there. We got to meet allot of bands from Canada and we ran into some of the people we met about two years ago from the Petra Farewell Tour. Bob Hartman and John Schlit from Petra was there at the festival as well; that was pretty cool. We can’t wait to come back and do more events up in Canada. Until next time!

Sean is suppose to post some pics from all this event. (I told him to post some pics. So if you don’t see any pics in the next couple of days, blame Sean)

Christ In Action

May 21, 2007

This weekend we were in Winchester, Virginia for the Christ In Action Open House. Christ In Action (CIA) is a non-profit organization that specializes in creative evangelism strategies providing opportunities for Christians of all ages to make Christ known. They also provide hope for families across the nation and have an absolutely amazing disaster response program. Be sure to check out their site here and see what you can do to help! We love working with the Nissley family and can’t wait to see them again! We had an incredible time and for anyone who hasn’t seen what Winchester looks like, here’s a little glimpse of the view we had:

And here are a few pics of the set-up that CIA has for their Disaster Response - the incredible thing is that all those huge tents can be set up and tore down in a few hours!

And to wrap up the weekend, we played in Meadville, Pennsylvania, which is my and Jeremi’s hometown. We led worship at First Church of God and we had a fantastic time! Afterwards I introduced Bill and Ben to some of the great things that Meadville has to offer - including some crazy good foot long hot dogs from Eddie’s, the best ice cream in the world from Hank’s, and the crazy parking lot at our Wal-Mart. Definitely not bus-friendly. It was really nice playing at home and I know we all can’t wait to come back in Septmeber!

We made the Meadville Tribune this week - “where’s Meadville” you may be asking? Pennsylvania - and its the hometown of Jeremi and I.

Dallas

May 11, 2007

Amazing. Astonishing. Astounding. Awesome. Sensational. Spectacular. Remarkable. Just a few different words to describle Dallas. We had a Song of Solomon for Students Conference last Sunday at Park Citites Baptist and that church definitely held true the saying that everything is bigger in Texas. It was a great conference as always and we met a lot of incredible people! On Wednesday we had a show at Frisco Bible Church in Frisco and wow - another amazing time! Stable Futuristic opened up the night for us and dang, they’re awesome!! And for anyone who remembers the show “Dallas”, we got to see the ranch that was used for the aerial shots for the show. We stayed with the unbelievable Estes family while we were there, and whether we were visiting, swimming, trampolining, or eating (oh man, the eating!!), we had a wonderful time. Thanks so much to Kirk, Tonya and Natalie (the awesome dancer below) for the phenomenal hospitality and amazing friendship! And thanks to everyone else who made our time down in Dallas so magnificent!!
