Christ In Action
May 21, 2007

This weekend we were in Winchester, Virginia for the Christ In Action Open House. Christ In Action (CIA) is a non-profit organization that specializes in creative evangelism strategies providing opportunities for Christians of all ages to make Christ known. They also provide hope for families across the nation and have an absolutely amazing disaster response program. Be sure to check out their site here and see what you can do to help! We love working with the Nissley family and can’t wait to see them again! We had an incredible time and for anyone who hasn’t seen what Winchester looks like, here’s a little glimpse of the view we had:

And here are a few pics of the set-up that CIA has for their Disaster Response - the incredible thing is that all those huge tents can be set up and tore down in a few hours!

And to wrap up the weekend, we played in Meadville, Pennsylvania, which is my and Jeremi’s hometown. We led worship at First Church of God and we had a fantastic time! Afterwards I introduced Bill and Ben to some of the great things that Meadville has to offer - including some crazy good foot long hot dogs from Eddie’s, the best ice cream in the world from Hank’s, and the crazy parking lot at our Wal-Mart. Definitely not bus-friendly. It was really nice playing at home and I know we all can’t wait to come back in Septmeber!

Sherwood!
May 14, 2007
Wow, we love Sherwood! We had such an incredible time, incredible fellowship and some really incredible food! (I highly recommend the catfish at the Pig’n'Chick!) I got beat at the last possible second at bowling by one pin - but I’m pretty sure I got hustled! Also, we got to see some sweet moon-walk action a few minutes before our show - it was amazing!! Thanks so much to everyone who always make us feel so welcomed - you guys are all so awesome - we can’t wait to come back!!

Dallas
May 11, 2007
Amazing. Astonishing. Astounding. Awesome. Sensational. Spectacular. Remarkable. Just a few different words to describle Dallas. We had a Song of Solomon for Students Conference last Sunday at Park Citites Baptist and that church definitely held true the saying that everything is bigger in Texas. It was a great conference as always and we met a lot of incredible people! On Wednesday we had a show at Frisco Bible Church in Frisco and wow - another amazing time! Stable Futuristic opened up the night for us and dang, they’re awesome!! And for anyone who remembers the show “Dallas”, we got to see the ranch that was used for the aerial shots for the show. We stayed with the unbelievable Estes family while we were there, and whether we were visiting, swimming, trampolining, or eating (oh man, the eating!!), we had a wonderful time. Thanks so much to Kirk, Tonya and Natalie (the awesome dancer below) for the phenomenal hospitality and amazing friendship! And thanks to everyone else who made our time down in Dallas so magnificent!!

Guitar winner?
May 1, 2007
The winner of our “Letting Go” pre-buy sweepstakes is the Renz Family from New Orleans. This is a little later than we were hoping to announce the winner, but we had the opportunity to personally deliver the guitar to Faith, so we held off on announcing it until we had the chance to take it to her this weekend. We know she’ll be shredding in no time! And yep - pics of this weekend coming soon!

Lamoni to Lafayette to Whitestown
April 30, 2007
Lamoni was crazy! It was the first time we played in Lamoni, IA and you all were great we had a good time. Ashley Reynolds opened for us in Lamoni, and I think she did an incredible job! I’m looking forward to sharing a stage w/ her in the future. I pray that God will continue to bless your ministry, and I guess we’ll see you Saturday.
Sacred Ground Coffee house is sweet! If any of you reading this blog get a chance to be near Lafayette, IN you must go to Sacred Grounds - it’s located at 724 Wabash Ave. Lafayette, IN 47905, the people that run this place are just awesome, sweet, and simply amazing people of God. We had such a great time of worship there at the coffee house. April, thank you so much for your hospitality and the Indian food! It was so good, I’m actually eating some left over Indian right now, I just can’t get enough of this goodness
Trent (I hope this is how you spell your name) thank you for inviting us to come and lead worship at your church.
Song of Solomon Conference, we haven’t done one of these for a while. It was very refreshing be leading worship again for the conference and just listening to Derwin Gray share about sexual purity. The one thing that spoke to me tonight was when Derwin talked about how young men need to wake up and relize that they need to be a leader, and be the man God wants us to be. The only way we can do that is by having a personal relationship w/ Jesus Christ, and not until Jesus is living through us, that we can be an example and a leader.
Last but not least I wanna thank Carrie Furry for coming out to our Lafayette and Whitestown shows to take pictures, we’ll post them hopefully within the next few days. And by “we” I mean Sean cuz he’s got all the pics, so Sean if your reading this, could you make sure that the pics are loaded within the next few days, please
Well that’s it for now, my bunk is calling my name. God Bless.
Sacred Grounds
April 29, 2007
What up? We’re back on the road again after a few days down in Nashville. We just got done with an acoustic set at the Sacred Grounds Coffee Shop in Lafayette, Indiana - it was a great night of worship! Our friend Allison Daymarie opened up the night for us and did an incredibly amazing job!! Be sure to check her out here! Last night we played at The Alley in Lamoni, Iowa and also had a great time! Ashley Reynolds started the night off for us and she was awesome as well! You can check her out here. Thanks so much to everyone who came out to the shows!! Here’s a quick pic of tonight’s show from the Band Angelz - I look so out of place with my black shirt - I guess I didn’t get the memo to wear some color!
